***Enter my Christmas Giveaway here! Open until December 8th 2012***
Hey guys, I'm about to embark on something a little different for me, I'm going to be participating in a nail challenge. This will be my first one, I don't normally participate simply because most challenges require posting on specific days, and I don't have a regular nail schedule as such and I'm terrible at setting things up in advance. So, wish me luck!
This challenge is the Aussie Christmas Nail Challenge. Most Christmas challenges are better suited to those who live in countries where it's currently Winter. At the moment it's Summer in Australia so we feel a bit silly walking around with snowflakes on our nails. For this reason, Elissa at Lissa's Polish Addiction came up with a challenge tailored for those of us in Australia. Here are the themes:
As you can see I'm running a little behind. I won't be participating in every challenge because I don't think I can keep up with doing my nails every second day (and I don't know if my cuticles can either), but I'll be participating where I can. I also have some designs on my to-do list that I've been trying to get around to for awhile so I'll be trying to slot some of those in in-between.
Moving on. The first challenge is 'Red'. Even though it's not exactly 'Christmassy' I've chosen to use Gloss 'n Sparkle's '3D Glasses Included' because I've been itching to try it out.

'3D Glasses Included' is a vibrant red jelly polish packed with red, blue, white and silver hex glitters. Application was lovely and smooth and I didn't need to place the glitters. The larger hexes were sometimes a little tricky to find so I suggest turning the bottle upside down for 5 minutes before using it (but I recommend that for any glitter polish). In the above photos I've layered 2 coats of '3D Glasses Included' over Essie's 'Blanc' simply because I can't stand VNL, however this one is apparently opaque in 2-3 coats.
'3D Glasses Included' is currently available from the Gloss 'n Sparkle etsy store if you live in Australia. For everyone else, Shoppe Eclecticco will have it in stock later this week.
